Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Blackduck

Blackduck was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Fertile-Beltrami on Friday. The Drakes put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Drakes, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Blackduck's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Fertile-Beltrami, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Blackduck and Fertile-Beltrami will both be playing Cass Lake-Bena the next time they take the field. The Drakes will head out to face the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
