It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Riverton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lone Peak Knights by a score of 10-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Silverwolves considering their two-run performance the match before.

Issac Jones looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Riverton got a big performance out of McKade Ortiz, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaige Woods, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Riverton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.

Riverton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lone Peak, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

Riverton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lone Peak: the pair will be back at it again later today.
