Salado is 6-1 against China Spring since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Salado Eagles will be playing at home against the China Spring Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Salado is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

China Spring will be up against a hot Salado squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Salado walked away with a 3-1 victory over Giddings on Monday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 441st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Salado hit Giddings with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hughston Taggart, Luke Munson, and Devonte Foster.

China Spring had taken Mexia down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Mexia who was credited with the win. Mexia got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to China Spring's two. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Salado's victory bumped their record up to 18-3-3. As for China Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9-1.

Salado took their win against China Spring when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0. Does Salado have another victory up their sleeve, or will China Spring turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
