Basketball Recap: Marine City Takes a Loss

Marine City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the South Lake Cavaliers, falling 67-31. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mariners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-53 back in January.

Marine City's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for South Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Marine City has already played their next match (against Clintondale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Lake is taking a road trip to square off against Cousino at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cousino is on a three-game streak of home wins, South Lake a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
