Football Recap: Ethan Bonafede Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Air Academy

It's playoff time, and Golden had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Air Academy Kadets 31-15 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Demons.

Golden got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Bonafede out in front who picked up 141 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 141 receiving yards gave Bonafede a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Meier, who rushed for 79 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Despite the loss, Air Academy still got an impressive performance from Madden Pohl, who rushed for 111 yards, and also threw for 40 yards and one touchdown.

Golden's record now sits at 8-3. As for Air Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Golden will head out to face off against Dakota Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Demons will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests. Air Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
