Boyd waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Braswell Bengals 12-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Boyd also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Madison Treadwell made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Treadwell was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Boyd got a massive performance out of Savanna Luther, who went 1-for-2 with a home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Locke, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
Boyd's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-9-1. As for Braswell, they dropped their record down to 9-14-1 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boyd will face off against Allen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Braswell, they will head out on the road to challenge Rock Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
