Volleyball Recap: Teays Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Teays Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Summit Christian Academy Falcons.

Teays Valley Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-20.

Teays Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Summit Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Teays Valley Christian and Summit Christian Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings. The Lions will challenge Calvary Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (113 vs. 31). Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy (ranked 86th) will meet Victory Baptist Academy (ranked 21st) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
