Soccer Recap: Omaha Central Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Omaha Central duked it out with Bellevue West on Monday. The Eagles fell 4-2 to the Thunderbirds. Omaha Central were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bellevue West apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Luqman Salad and Mukhtar Abdirahman scored both of Omaha Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Omaha Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Bellevue West, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Omaha Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Lincoln High on the 5th. As for Bellevue West, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Elkhorn South on the 5th.
