Football Recap: Belaire Takes a Loss

Belaire lost against Plaquemine back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bengals were beaten by the Green Devils 38-6. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Green Devils are ranked 68th).

Belaire dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Plaquemine, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Belaire is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Michael at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Plaquemine will square off against rival Brusly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
