Baseball Recap: Dayton Greendevils vs. Bourbon County Colonels
Dayton extended their losing streak to 14 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-24-1. They lost 16-2 to the Bourbon County Colonels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colonels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on April 9th.
As for Bourbon County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-9. The result was nothing new for the Colonels, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
For Bourbon County's part, Jackson Norris was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Dexter Leverett, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Coming up, Dayton will host Paris at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bourbon County, they will head out to take on George Rogers Clark at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
