Baseball Recap: Louisville Takes a Loss

Louisville easily dispatched Manchester on March 11th, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Louisville fell just short of the Hiland Hawks by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Leopards couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cooper Rice was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Louisville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Louisville will be playing in front of their home fans against Canfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hiland, they are taking a road trip to square off against Claymont at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Hiland their first taste of in-conference action this season.
