Baseball Recap: Kenosha Christian Life Takes a Loss

Kenosha Christian Life was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brookfield Academy Blue Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 16-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Evan Shaffer was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Daxton Lepinski, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Kenosha Christian Life now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Brookfield Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenosha Christian Life will venture away from home to take on University School of Milwaukee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Brookfield Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Milwaukee Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
