Softball Recap: Cameron Comets vs. Hayward Hurricanes
Cameron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They suffered a rough 13-3 loss at the hands of the Hayward Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cameron of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Cameron saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and a triple.
Cameron's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hayward, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Cameron will head out on the road to square off against St. Croix Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hayward, they will be playing at home against Ashland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hayward is facing Ashland at the right time seeing as Ashland is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
