After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Western Branch, Manor was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Booker T. Washington Mighty Bookers with a sharp 20-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-3 back in March.

Kara Williams made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off only one hit. Williams was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

In other batting news, Tiesha Cross was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with eight stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those eight stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Laura DeJesus, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Manor is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Booker T. Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
