Softball Preview: Clarence Red Devils vs. Nardin Academy Gators        
        
		
            
 The Clarence Red Devils will challenge the Nardin Academy Gators at 12:45  p.m.  on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
 Clarence is headed into the  contest fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They came out on top against Lancaster by a score of  9-4  on Thursday.
 Meanwhile, Nardin Academy can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Mount St. Mary Academy with a sharp  17-3 win.
  Jayden Szkatulski was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Szkatulski was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Emily Gorman was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Molly Griffin, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 3-for-3.
 Clarence's victory was  their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Nardin Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Clarence might still be hurting after the  7-1 loss they got from Nardin Academy  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023. Can Clarence avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
