Baseball Recap: Windsor Locks' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Windsor Locks unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Windsor Warriors, falling 17-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Raiders have suffered since April 16th.

Garrett Hinckley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Windsor Locks' defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Windsor, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor Locks will challenge Rockville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Raiders have won four straight at home, while the Rams won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Windsor, they will welcome East Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
