Volleyball Recap: Caston Takes a Loss

Caston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Wabash Apaches. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Apaches when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caston took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-11, 25-20.

Natalie Warner paced Caston's offense, picking up four kills. Warner got some help from Ellie Zartman and her five assists.

Wabash can attribute much of their success to Amaya Sellers, who had nine digs and two assists.

Caston's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Wabash, their record is now 19-4.

Caston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against North Judson-San Pierre on the 30th. As for Wabash, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Rochester on the 30th.
