Basketball Game Preview: Firebaugh Falcons vs. Norwalk Lancers

The Firebaugh Falcons will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Norwalk Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Firebaugh will be strutting in after a victory while Norwalk will be coming in after a defeat.

Firebaugh is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since January 26th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-49 victory over Cathedral.

Meanwhile, Norwalk came up short against AGBU on Monday and fell 46-39. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while the Titans are ranked 166th).

Firebaugh's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Norwalk, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Everything came up roses for Firebaugh against Norwalk when the teams last played back in February, as the squad secured an 80-50 victory. Does Firebaugh have another victory up their sleeve, or will Norwalk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
