Softball Recap: West Blocton Comes Up Short

West Blocton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northside Rams. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.

West Blocton's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Northside, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northside beat West Blocton by a score of 10-1 later that day.
