The power rankings have been shaken up after a frantic week teeming with triumph and disappointment. Among the action were the efforts of Highland's senior Jack Etter, an offensive menace who scored seven total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Willowbrook's 42 - 13 win over Addison Trail last week had a lot to do with the leadership of junior Sam Tumilty. Tumilty ran for 125 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. In fact, our algorithms singled out Tumilty as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.

It was a battle of top-notch squads when Naperville Central (12th in IL) took on Trinity (16th in KY) last week. Naperville Central strolled past Trinity with points to spare, taking the game 38 - 20. Naperville Central saw its record improve to 2-2 and its power rank jump seven places as a result.
No Stoppin 'Em
There were a lot of high-scoring contests in the power rankings last week, but the 89-point effort in this one put it right at the top of the list. Highland put the hurt on Jersey with a conclusive 68 - 21 victory. Despite Highland's win, the team was passed up by other teams in the power rankings and gave up seven spots in the rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Evanston (10th in the power rankings) and Maine South (8th). This will be the second consecutive road game for Maine South. Only one team will win this week, so we'll find out which team fails to repeat its success.
