Soccer Recap: Wheatland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bear River on Friday, Wheatland came back down to earth. The Wheatland Pirates fell just short of the Destiny Christian Academy Lions by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.

Omar Raya and Omran Rostayee scored all three of Wheatland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Wheatland has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-2 record this season. As for Destiny Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3-1.

Wheatland will be home for the holidays to greet Center at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Center is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Destiny Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against El Camino on the 16th.
