Baseball Game Preview: Glacier Peak Grizzlies vs. Woodinville Falcons

The Glacier Peak Grizzlies will take on the Woodinville Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Glacier Peak came up short against Arlington and fell 7-3. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Woodinville faced Eastlake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Woodinville fell just short of Eastlake by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by just one run.

Woodinville got a good showing from Levi Grothen, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Grothen has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Woodinville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Hennessy, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Hennessy has posted since back in April of 2024.

Glacier Peak's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Woodinville, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Glacier Peak suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Woodinville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can Glacier Peak avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
