Basketball Recap: Satanta Indians vs. Minneola Wildcats
Satanta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Minneola Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-45 back in December of 2024.
Jesse Smith was a one-man wrecking crew for Minneola as he dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards Smith has posted since back in February of 2024. Levi Lang was another key player, putting up 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
Satanta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Minneola, their win bumped their record up to 4-7-1.
Satanta will square off against Pawnee Heights on Friday. Satanta is facing Pawnee Heights at the right time seeing as Pawnee Heights is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Minneola, they will face off against Spearville on Monday.
