Baseball Recap: Bishop O'Dowd Takes a Loss

Bishop O'Dowd saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They lost 13-1 to the Aquinas Falcons. That's two games in a row now that the Dragons have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Bishop O'Dowd got a good showing from Jake Dunning-Sorey, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Bishop O'Dowd saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Teti, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Bishop O'Dowd has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10-1 record this season. As for Aquinas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-2.

Bishop O'Dowd will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alameda at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Aquinas, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-5 victory against Brophy College Prep on the 17th.
