Elgin and Cache are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Owls will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Cache took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Elgin, who comes in off a win.

Elgin is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand McLoud an 8-0 shutout. Elgin have beaten McLoud the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest McLoud has come to flipping the script.

Cache kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 7-1 to Eisenhower. The loss continues a trend for Cache in their meetings with Eisenhower: they've now lost four in a row.

Elgin got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Cache by a conclusive 5-1 score. Do the Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
