Softball Recap: Plumas Charter Takes a Loss

Loyalton hit Plumas Charter with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 13-2 to the Grizzlies. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lucy Joesph was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Fayth Broadhead, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Plumas Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17-1. As for Loyalton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

Looking ahead, Plumas Charter will challenge Chester at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Loyalton, they will venture away from home to face off against Portola at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
