Basketball Recap: Maysville Comes Up Short

Maysville was the 28-24 winner over Worth County when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Maysville Wolverines took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Worth County Tigers on Thursday.

Kristen Tracy had a dynamite game for Worth County, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Tracy also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Worth County is undefeated when she posts at least five steals, but 5-14 otherwise. Audrey Runde was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

Maysville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Worth County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-14 record this season.

Maysville will take on East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Worth County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
