Baseball Recap: King's Way Christian Starts Season with Loss on the Road

King's Way Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Hudson's Bay Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

King's Way Christian got a good showing from Noah Myers, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, Myers posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Jace Barnes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

King's Way Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Washougal on the 13th. As for Hudson's Bay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 13-3 loss against Evergreen on the 18th.
