Recap: Southwestern Spartans vs. Springs Valley Blackhawks
This season hasn't been kind to the Southwestern Spartans, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were outmatched by Springs Valley on the road and fell 77-46.
Among those leading the charge was Keyton Jones, who scored 17 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. Those eight assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Mavric Land, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Southwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Springs Valley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Southwestern will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Brown County at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Springs Valley will finish 2023 at home by hosting Henryville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Henryville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Thursday.
