Football Preview: Centennial Titans vs. Frisco Raccoons
Centennial and Frisco are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2014, but not for long. The Centennial Titans will take on the Frisco Raccoons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frisco took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Centennial, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Centennial made easy work of Liberty and carried off a 30-7 win. The Titans pushed the score to 27-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Redhawks cut but never quite recovered from.
One reason for the win was Centennial's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jackson Hand and Jackson Graham who racked up all four sacks between them. Graham is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last 12 games he's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 52-13, which was the final score in Frisco's tilt against Melissa on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Raccoons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Cardinals are ranked 43rd).
