Recap: Lake Minneola Hawks vs. Seminole Seminoles
The Seminole Seminoles typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Lake Minneola Hawks proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 59-54 win over the Seminoles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lake Minneola.
Aliyah Perry was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven steals and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Patricia Casimir was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Lake Minneola's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Seminole, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Minneola will take on IMG Academy Blue at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. IMG Academy Blue will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Lake Minneola is ranked 126th). As for Seminole, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Prep is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
