Basketball Recap: McCall-Donnelly Victorious

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only McCall-Donnelly walked away with it. They snuck past the Kimberly Bulldogs with a 46-41 win on Thursday. For the Vandals, this counts as revenge for the 45-44 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taya Plew, who posted 15 points and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Ward, who put up six points and eight boards.

McCall-Donnelly has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. Kimberly's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

McCall-Donnelly has already played their next matchup, a 55-14 loss against Bear Lake on the 20th. As for Kimberly, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-44 defeat against Timberlake on the 20th.
