Hickory is a perfect 10-0 against Newton-Conover since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Tornadoes will be taking part in a tournament against the Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. Hickory is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Hickory can't be too worried about heading out to take on Newton-Conover: they just beat Maiden at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Red Tornadoes walked away with a 10-5 win over the Blue Devils on Monday.

Meanwhile, Newton-Conover got the win against Foard on Monday by a conclusive 9-3.

Newton-Conover has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hickory, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Hickory skirted past Newton-Conover 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Tornadoes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
