Volleyball Recap: Tipton-Rosemark Academy Falls to Covington in First Game of Season

Tipton-Rosemark Academy kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Covington Chargers by a score of 3-2. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-22, 15-11.

Caroline Roland paced Tipton-Rosemark Academy's offense, picking up 17 kills. Roland got some help from Corbin Garcia and her 21 assists. Roland was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Harding Academy on the 19th. As for Covington, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Memphis East on the 21st.
