Baseball Recap: Nicholas County Triumphs

Nicholas County won the last time they faced Oak Hill and things went their way on Thursday too. The Grizzlies came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 11-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.

Braden Brown made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Ira Mylott was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Nicholas County is undefeated when Mylott posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Caleb Burns was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Nicholas County's record is now 10-7. As for Oak Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Nicholas County has already played their next game (against Shady Spring), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Oak Hill, they will challenge Woodrow Wilson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Flying Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
