First Flight won the last time they faced Holmes, and Mason Dobie did his part to make sure it happened again. The First Flight Nighthawks breezed by the Holmes Aces to the tune of 81-45 on Friday thanks in part to Dobie, who posted 39 points. His evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Holmes lost, don't look at Tucker Baldwin. Despite the final result, he scored nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre'Shaun Rankins, who earned eight points.

First Flight is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Holmes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Coming up, First Flight will square off against Pasquotank County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pasquotank County has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 210 points over their last three games. As for Holmes, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 78-62 victory against Hertford County on the 8th.
