Softball Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sterling's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Rock Island Rocks on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Golden Warriors have suffered against the Rocks since April 23, 2022.

Sterling saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Rock Island, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Sterling wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-5 win against East Moline United on the 1st. As for Rock Island, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-1 victory against Alleman on the 30th.
