Bishop O'Connell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Elizabeth Seton, who was ranked seventh in their home state at the time (Bishop O'Connell was ranked 14th). Bishop O'Connell took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elizabeth Seton on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with Elizabeth Seton: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Catholic entered their tilt with Cape Henry Collegiate on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Dolphins 83-27. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 31 points or more this season.

Catholic's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for Bishop O'Connell, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
