Baseball Recap: Westbrook Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rotan last Tuesday, Westbrook came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 10-2 to the Ira Bulldogs on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 two weeks ago.

Westbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Browne, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Westbrook's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Ira, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

While Westbrook had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
