Basketball Recap: Shelby-Rising City Comes Up Short

Shelby-Rising City lost against Centennial back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Shelby-Rising City Huskies had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Centennial Broncos. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Taya Pinneo was Shelby-Rising City's leading scorer, having posted four points.

Shelby-Rising City's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Centennial, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Shelby-Rising City is taking a road trip to face off against Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will square off against Centura at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial is facing Centura at the right time seeing as Centura is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
