Volleyball Recap: El Dorado Springs' Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

El Dorado Springs dropped to 8-9-2 on Tuesday, ending the team's 11-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Adrian Blackhawks. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Blackhawks since Tuesday.

Kalen Post paced El Dorado Springs' offense, picking up seven kills. Post got some help from Maddix Robison and her eight assists. Finally, April Riessen kept El Dorado Springs' defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

As for Adrian, they pushed their record up to 13-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The game was the first time they have beaten El Dorado Springs on their court since October 11, 2016.

Adrian can attribute much of their success to Olivia Engeman, who had ten digs and three assists. Engeman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

El Dorado Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Versailles on the 6th. As for Adrian, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Summit Christian Academy on the 2nd.
