Two dominant signal callers in Deshawn Laporte and Dutch Burbidge are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Burbank will welcome Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Burbank is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Arcadia to the tune of 55-13 on Friday. With the Bulldogs ahead 27-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Burbank's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Tyler Hudson and Chase Miles. Hudson picked up 126 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Miles picked up 182 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Hudson a new career-high. Troy Wells was another key player, rushing for 63 yards and one score on only six carries.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Burbank's defense and their four sacks. Arcadia's QB won't forget Aidan Dagher anytime soon given he sacked him twice.
Meanwhile, Pasadena had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tornados 66-8. That looming 66-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.
Pasadena found their leader in freshman Synncere Pitts, who rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Robertson, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Pasadena didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sebastian Clark and Dior Middleton. Middleton has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Pasadena's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Burbank, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.
Burbank beat Pasadena 33-21 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Burbidge, who threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards.
