Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McDonald). They put the hurt on the Mathews Mustangs with a sharp 16-4 win on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

McDonald's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mathews, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDonald will venture away from home to take on Western Reserve at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Western Reserve will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something McDonald surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mathews, they will head out on the road to square off against Grand Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grand Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Mathews' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
