Louisa County is a perfect 10-0 against Western Albemarle since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Louisa County will be strutting in after a win while Western Albemarle will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Louisa County was able to grind out a solid victory over Fluvanna County, taking the game 4-1. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Flying Flucos: they've now won nine in a row.

Lily Ruckle looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Laci Garrett, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Hopkins, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Western Albemarle came up short against Monticello on Tuesday and fell 7-4. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Aniyah Sims made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. Jillie Clark also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Western Albemarle's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Louisa County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Louisa County beat Western Albemarle 8-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
