Basketball Recap: Beekmantown's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

With a playoff win on the line, Beekmantown rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They strolled past the Peru Nighthawks with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Despite the loss, Peru had strong showings from Nicholas Petro, who posted six points in addition to five boards and four steals, and Jordan Osborne, who scored nine points. Petro has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Beekmantown's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Peru, they dropped their record down to 1-19 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Beekmantown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-46 win against Plattsburgh on the 1st. Peru does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
