Basketball Recap: LaGrange Grangers vs. Upson-Lee Knights
LaGrange was the 57-48 winner over Upson-Lee when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The LaGrange Grangers took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Upson-Lee Knights on Friday. The Grangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Upson-Lee got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Qua Smith out in front who posted nine points and three steals. That's the most steals Smith has posted since back in December of 2024. Marcellus Myles was another key player, putting up 14 points and six boards.
LaGrange's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Upson-Lee, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
LaGrange didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-56 victory against Spalding on the 3rd. As for Upson-Lee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-36 win against Lamar County on the 1st.
