Preview: Colorado Academy Mustangs vs. D'Evelyn Jaguars
The Colorado Academy Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the D'Evelyn Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Colorado Academy will be strutting in after a victory while D'Evelyn will be coming in after a loss.
Even though DSST: Montview scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Colorado Academy still came out on top. Colorado Academy took down DSST: Montview 77-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Colorado Academy.
Among those leading the charge was Jason Bratis, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of George Buyers, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, D'Evelyn's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Steamboat Springs.
Colorado Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for D'Evelyn, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Colorado Academy beat D'Evelyn 47-35 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colorado Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
