Basketball Recap: Noah Hillaker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Intermountain Christian over American Prep WV

Intermountain Christian lost against American Prep WV back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Intermountain Christian Lions came up short against the American Prep WV Eagles, falling 86-63.

Intermountain Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Hillaker, who went 7 of 15 en route to 19 points and five boards. Noah Furze was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds.

American Prep WV was led to victory by Marcus Versluis and Amir Mohammed. Versluis dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 boards, while Mohammed went 7 of 14 to rack up 16 points and eight assists. Those 16 points gave Mohammed a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sharmaarkay Mbwera, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.

Intermountain Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for American Prep WV, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Intermountain Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-44 win against Salt Lake Academy on the 7th. As for American Prep WV, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 69-68 victory against Non Varsity Opponent on the 6th.
