Midwest City is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Stony Point. The Midwest City Bombers took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stony Point Tigers. The Bombers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

It was another big night for Uzziah Buntyn, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 31 points and five steals for Stony Point. The match was Buntyn's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Short, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Midwest City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Stony Point, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Midwest City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Altus at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th. One thing working in Midwest City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Stony Point, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 91-62 victory against Hutto on the 31st.
