Basketball Recap: Apple Springs Comes Up Short

Apple Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 78-40 defeat at the hands of the Wells Pirates. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in January of 2025.

Apple Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wells, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Apple Springs will square off against Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Wells, they will take on Kennard at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
